Out u10s attending their end of season festival on

Out u10s attending their end of season festival on the weekend - here’s how it went!💙💛

Before starting we talked about working as a unit, moving up the field together but also working hard to get back behind the ball in defence. The team really took this on board and it was great teamwork that produced a really good 1:0 win over a good Cardiff Met B side.

The next game against Whitchurch A was a real battle with the keepers on both sides being forced to make a series of really good saves. In the end Whitchurch managed to just sneak a 0:1 win but there was really nothing between the two teams

Soaking wet and freezing cold somehow they got up and played three more games. Producing a great final performance to beat Cwmtawe A 1:0

If there was one thing I learnt it is that our U10s are an incredibly tough bunch. They want to play hockey, they want to win and they absolutely don’t give up

Emily captained the side and she picked Theo and Rufus as her players of the tournament - Rufus for making so many great saves and Theo for really good tackling and passing.

A fantastic morning at Whitchurch for the U8’s Fes

A fantastic morning at Whitchurch for the U8’s Festival! The team played really well going from strength to strength, and winning four of their five matches!
Addie played really strong in defence and did some great passes! Jasper was a brilliant all rounder today, carrying the ball forward and scoring a goal, as well as being there in defence too. Grace did well with some excellent tackles and coming close to scoring a few times. Ingrid was superb today, and deserves coaches player of the match! She scored 15 goals across all matches and was a fierce player on the pitch.
Izzy came to support and helped coach the warm up, shouting encouragement from the sidelines. Well done all, you should all be super proud of yourselves 🤩

Overall placed 3rd in the plate 🎉

A brilliant effort by all, an explosion of goals by a very happy Bowen, Captain Joe led the team well and defended solid whilst taking every opportunity to get shots on goal.
Huge appreciation to Emmy for standing in Goalie today, some exceptional saves and overall presence kept those attempts on goal out 🎉
