Trevor Scott
Trevor previously played for Belfast YMCA HC, Civil Service HC, Collegians HC and Cardiff HC. He joined Abergavenny Hockey Club in 1975 and became Club Chairman in ... and President of the club in 2007 to present. He was captain of the 1st X! 1975 -1977. He has represented Gwent and South East Wales. He umpired from 1989 - 2025 for league matches, British Universities & Colleges Sport and Abergavenny Hockey Club. He was awarded an MBE in 2025 for services to veterans.
Dr 'Bill' Griffiths
Bill joined Abergavenny Hockey Club in 1950. He was President of Abergavenny Hockey Club from 1967 to 2007.
He represented Great Britain eight times and holds an Olympic silver medal from the 1948 London Olympic Games.
He also holds 32 caps for Wales.
He was added to the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame 'Roll of Honour' on 21st June 2024.
